This drawing was started and finished as an illustration to a story writen by John Dee Cooper in the past. It was inspired by work of another artist - Mike Carcel. My illustration is depicting the closing scene - the very end of the story. I recommend to read the story even though it is not for everyone. The author of the story plans some edits to it, but made it accessible as it is now, here, through this link.
Here is my illustration.
Beautiful drawing! It really leads us to imagine the story that it tells. The high and solid bed, allows even to nail that man, dejected and weakened by the beating he received.
OdpovědětVymazatThe owner of the house, of the bed and perhaps of the nailed body, is lying down, comfortably observing the decorative object added to his furniture.
Beautiful work Sherwin! I remain your most enchanted admirer and fan!
It is also available as part of Dee's "four short stories" on his blog - https://deepen46.blogspot.com/p/blog-page_21.html
OdpovědětVymazatI am familiar with it, but did not remember this ending scene in the narrator's bedroom. Very nice image, Sherwin. I am always impressed by yourt detailed drawings.
